Down and Out

"Down and Out" is a song that was worked up as a demo quite some time ago. Venturing a guess  it would have to be around the time we did CD 4 or 5. Oddly enough, we have a habit of getting a demo done, and then sometimes we sit on them for too long. We used to sit face to face pretty much to write. Nowadays, we use computers, mixing consoles, and home recording software to do the job. Takes a little longer, but its worth it. BUT we are getting off track. Down and Out....oldest song most likely on the new collection. I do believe I had re-recorded the basic track sometime last Fall, when I sent an earlier version over to Brian. Anyway we have discussed that we wanted no ballads on the new stuff, but this has a "Type O Negative" feel to it (according to Brian) so we have it done up and ready to go.  Not sure if we started using the new amps on this song or not, but I can hear one of the near guitars.

20th Anniversary

Who would have thought this was going to be possible? 20 years....2 decades....this is a pretty good amount of time.  Through all of this, there has been one constant. The friendship that I have shared with Brian (aka Jake ).At times, we have been known to bring other people into the fold, but they have come and gone, and by my side, was Brian. I wouldnt change a thing.  Through 6 collections of music and a "best of" collection , the desire is still there to create. Maybe I can be a bigger perfectionist than Brian at times, and sometimes I get the urge to go back and re-record some of our own songs, but thats only because I have something in my head and ears, and sometimes I hear it much later than I should have. That being said, there will be a re-recorded song or two on what I am thinking may be our best music yet.  Some people have asked me before "Why not do a solo CD sometime?" And I answer with : Why? It would just turn out as a BARELY SMAL...
